Fans flock for Wanda Walker's Cochon de Lait Poboys

In 2008, Esquire Magazine ranked the Cochon de Lait Poboy as one of the best sandwiches in America.

After Katrina, Jazz Fest and the food still went on, and so did the Cochon de Lait Poboy.

The Walker family started Love at First Bite in 1992 and soon began traveling across the country  attending food festivals, such as Bite of Seattle, Taste of Tacoma, Jimmy Buffet's concert in Buckeye Lake, Ohio, the Ben & Jerry's Festival in Vermont, and Fur & Wildlife Festival in Cameron, LA. In 2000, we began selling the Cochon de Lait Poboy at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. 11 months prior to Hurricane Katrina hitting New Orleans, Walker's Southern Style BBQ opened in eastern New Orleans. Rebuilding with the rest of the New Orleans and Gulf Coast region, Walker's soon re-opened.

Today, Walker's Southern Style BBQ is serving all your bbq favorites, ribs, chicken, brisket and pork, along with delicious sides, like smothered mustard greens and potato salad, made in house daily.
